Default 2004 mk6 5dr fiesta door panel fabric removal

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience in removing the fabric part from a front passenger side door panel?

I have a door panel that I would like to replace, which has a bit of damage at the bottom of it, but the cloth interior colour on mine is blue and I am really struggling to find a replacement one to match, so wondered if it was at all possible to remove the cloth part from mine and put it onto a new donor door card?

Any thoughts or advice would be really appreciated

... or if anyone has or knows of where I could get a door panel that has a blue cloth trim that would be great : )

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee,

If you take the door card off you will see that the fabric part is held in place by melted plastic, kind of like a rivet. I have done this in the past but I can't really remember(5+ years ago lol), wasn't too hard though.

Once you have them out use a glue gun to stick it back in place.

Hope that helps.

Bav

Edit: Actually I think I managed to peel a bit off then work around the whole thing. From the back of the door card.
