Default Cossy 4x4 owner James Davidson from Shawlands in Glasgow, possible fraudster

FAO Mods, I asked Stu if it was ok to post this and he's fine with it.

Wanting to know if anyone knows a James Davidson from Direlation Drive in Glasgow, he probably owns a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth.

Back in April he bought two brake kits for the car using a card which turns out not to be his, the card holder says they have no knowledge of the purchase and that its fraudulent. Now here's what's a bit strange.. After he received the kits he called asking for a copy of the invoice which I sent via email.. Now I'm no expert in card fraudsters but if I'd bought something using a dodgy card then the last thing I'd be doing is calling up and asking for a receipt!

Anyone know him or the name of his girlfriend (it was a ladies name on the card)?

Ideally you need someone local to go round there and look in his wheels!

Anyone you know got DVLA access?

We get the occasional chargback from a fraudulent card and they are getting more brazen now and ringing up isnt unheard of.

He may have sold them on to make cash money so its worth looking along those lines too martin

Lots of posts about dodgy peeps recently

Will you be out of pocket or will the card company sort it?

I have his full address and will go and see the police and report the matter but I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt first, could have split with his girlfriend and she's pulling a fast one..

The front kit he has is a 330mm curved groove disc with silver bells that's used in conjunction with the original caliper, its a new kit and other than one 320mm version that went abroad it's the only one that's ever been sold.

When you put it through your card machine did it come back with the address checks as being confirmed?

No, I thought it was because I'd typed in 135 for the property number, his address is flat 1, 35 Direlton drive. Its all been signed for at that address too.

It's probably worth getting a SagePay account set-up for the over the phone/internet sales, they provide far more protection than the normal machines.

Its a shame the police will never be interested. Cant be too hard for them to check if this scumbag lives there and if he does, theyve got him bang to rights, fraudulent use of someones card, signing for the goods proves its him etc.

FFS, the police would probably take more of an interest if we called him a bad name on here....except they'd be interested in the person calling him names !
