my focus rs mk1*wheels back on*
not posted in a while.been doing a bit of work on my focus heres a few upto date pics of what ive been upto.
decided to go air to air to replace the std chargecooler and move the filter to engine bay as the filter used to get wet under the car. while i had the car off the road i gave the maniflld and ap's a coat of paint to freshen them up.
after a botched respray last year i got my car booked into get it sorted properly.
this was the state of my paint after i got it back from a bodyshop who painted it last year.after numerous trips back to get bits sorted i eventually got my money back and took it elsewhere. the pics show the condition of it after RM bodywork made an ar5e of it,the second lot of pics show it now.
masking line,no shine to paint
foam edged along door,why not paint full door
dirt in paint,he's tried to buff it out
foam edged inside door check
oversrpray inside fuel cap lock
buffed through corner of bootlid
primer collapsed and buffed with 180 grit i think
cracked my sideskirt trying to remove it,was never removed in the end,wonder why:rlmao:
front bumper
bumper grills with paint build up and overspray on grill
dirt under glass,tried to buff out again
this is my list of stuff wrong
stone chips just been painted over
arch cover overspray
lovely big stone chip been sprayed over
masked off inside bootlid,not even straight,why not just paint the rest of panel
this was only some of the stuff,it had silicon and dirt everywhere,the tape holdoing the front number plate wasnt removed and just painted over
so plan b. took it to gibby and its had a full respray bar roof. bumper grills,fog surrounds and splitter will be going satin black. heres the pics of gibby in action
car is nearly finished,my wheels are away getting refurbed and will return end of week.

The cars looking great mate what a difference it makes having someone one who cares working on your car. Top work from gibby again.
Might have to copy the fog surrounds as they look good.

Cos he can get away with it. He's got a fb page. The work on it looks ok. Rm bodywork. Most people wouldnt notice the bits i did. Just cos im anal about my car

I'm in the bodyshop game and it's makes my blood boil seeing shit workmanship like that. Work like that gives such a bad name to the industry
but it's good to see someone cares. The body work looks awesome now

i like the std wheels aswell ,just not in black,but the ap's need showing off and the leggs do that perfectly.
i wear the stds in winter so you'll prefer it half the year
