Default Manual boost controllers

Electronic boost controllers are out of the scope of my budget so I'm looking for a new manual one.

Anyone have any advice on what to use? Do I look for a ball and spring type, needle valve type or something else?

I'm also looking for some kind of check valve that can limit the maximum boost in the event the boost controller fails. Is there anything that does both?

Cheers!

Manual controller from MSD is what I recommend.
Does your management not have a boost cut or are you MFI?

Cheers Karlos, as it happens that's exactly what I did in the end.

I'm running OFAC but don't have an AMAL valve.
