Default Early RS500 engine ??????????????

Hi just wondering if anyone can help, ive got the early 205 RS500 block with the small core plugs, is there any difference between these and a normal 205 block if so what ? The block is machined for cooper rings but is about ready for a rebore and new pistons. Ive been running 350bhp but would now like to take it up to bout 400 is it worth carrying on with this block or should i start a fresh with a 200 block. Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks.

its a lot better than the std 205 2wd block, it will happily take 500+

It also depends on whether or not it has been rebored before...I would not want to run big power on anything over +0.25...that's just me...
