They both the same.....only difference is the inner and outer joint, the tripod joint goes inner

There's a shaft that runs through the sump. There's a circlip on the drivers side, inside the front diff

So long as the depth, spline count and assembled length is identical it shouldn't matter.

I suspect you have an original (has a boot clip with no join in it)

and an after market one

Hi thanks for yr help, 1 other thing I've had all the hubs sand blasted & powder coated & the rears, the new bearings I've had to hammer down, but the fronts where they sand blasted the wrong part! The bearings are just sliding down, does that mean them 1s are now scrap!!

The bearing race in the front hubs should be tight, I've just had mine done last weekend so can relate to this.

You can get a machine shop to fit you an inner race if it's worn, then your bearing race will sit inside this snug.

More expense or buy another pair of knuckles. Are you sure they are 4wd bearings and not 2wd?

To be honest I can't see how blasting could have took any off it, it would have had to have been really high pressure or too coarse of a bead to kill your hub

I had a full set of bearing from graham Goode so I would of thought he sent the right things out, & i meant the steam part of the hub sorry where the wherl bolts the other side, i should of made that clear!! as for the sand blasting I'm not sure what they done!! As I had them done at different times, 2 are fine 2 ain't?? 2 are a tight fit as they should be, & the other 2 (which were blasted) you can slide the bearing of with your hand!!
