Fuel gauge not working

Hello,
The fuel gauge on my escos doesn't work, it stays at 3/4 full, I have replaced the sender as the contacts were worn out on the slider, the temp gauge works ok, any ideas anyone?

Nipped cable maybe grounding out?

maybe the gauge itself
