Default Ford Ka 2005 central Locking

Hi, I have a 2005 Ford KA and I am having a problem with the central locking system. The key fob will lock all the doors however, I cannot access the car using the key fob on either door. The only way I can get into the car is to use the key. Can anyone help me sort out this issue that I have?
Many thanks in advance

Pretty common for the buttons in the fob to fail over time. You could try taking the fob apart and try some electrical contact cleaner in there to see if it fixes it but I would imagine it's new fob time.

Sit rep,
Front doors will not open all the time with the key fob
Changed the battery in the key fob and cleaned the contacts and as expected no change..Disconnected the battery for a good hour and still the same
Has anyone got any more ideas that I can try. I have noticed that if I use the key fob whilst sat in the car, a split second after the central locking kicks in and the interior door handles go p the locked position there are 2 audible clicks (like the type from a relay) from around the glove compartment and also from around the fusebox area on the drivers side. Are there any relays in the central locking system?
The only other thing that I can think of is I know that I have a dodgy speaker wire in the drivers door, could it be that I need a new wiring loom, but why would that affect both doors?
Please can somebody think of something.
Many thanks in advance
