Put the new turbo on 2day built it all back up and started it for the first time in months now on tick over the rev counter hovers around 2500 - 3000 an when you rev it it goes down not up settles around 1000 for a second then goes back up to 2500-3000 again when it's obviously not revving that hard what could this be

 

The rev counters F##k up on them for fun mate, easy to change if you find one, i have gone through 4 in 3 years on one of my cars lol

 

Mfi and Efi rev counters read different...
So when your looking for a replacement make sure you get the right one...

 

It was my battery being fucked so changed that now rev counter is wrking fine
