Default New XR2i owner saying hello and after a bit of advice!

Hi all, as per title, new XR2i owner, had a couple when I was younger and fancied reliving my youth a bit!! A day after getting her home the fans have stopped working inside the car and to be honest I haven't heard the cooling fan come on either, both fuses are fine, anyone had the same issues?? P.s is there an easy way to upload pics as ill pop some on. Cheers Ben

Heater fan could be the switch, the fan or the pre-resistor. If the fan still runs on the highest position, it's the resistor.

The car looks very good and clean so I don't think the fan motor isn't working because of rust or dirt. Just try to short-circuit the fan. If it's working, it won't be the fan itself. Could be the temp switch or the engine just isn't getting too hot yet.

It's a very tidy car. Original, the red still is red (very rare sight on older cars) and the interior looks like fresh from the factory.

Shouldn't be a big problem if there aren't more than you already mentioned.

[QUOTE=XR2;6469636]Shouldn't be a big problem if there aren't more than you already mentioned.

The only other bits are, cracked fog lights (replacements bought), passenger window mechanism has broken (relatively cheap to replace) and I will swap the steering wheel back to original as the previous owner fitted an RS turbo steering wheel and its in poor condition to be fair.

Also thinking about going back to standard wing mirrors instead of the 3.5 items currently fitted, a standard black rear spoiler and amber indicator lenses, your thoughts welcome guys!

Need to find it first lol, have a vague idea where it located, would put the ambers back on the front, would be nice to see it with the standard mirrors, leave the spoiler.
