Default Are these S1 turbo wheels?

Hi,

Many moons ago, I bought a new set of four wheels for my RS1600i (from a Ford RS Main dealer), but they never got fitted before it got sadly written off. I have opened up the boxes recently, and I am not sure that they are truly RS1600i wheels. I believe that RSi wheels would have only one spoke with writing on. These have Ford Motorsport on one spoke, V85AB-AA on another, 6Jx15H2E35 on a third, and what appears to be a date stamp (9/95) on a fourth.

I measured the offset when I originally got them, and they matched the real RS1600i alloys on my car, so I am assuming from the 1985 part number that these are most likely RS Turbo wheels still being made in the mid 90s for service items...

Can anyone help clarify exactly what these might be?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

I picked up a set very similar around 1997 for £100 in exceptional condition.
I was new to driving and new to Fords, so I didn't look into what they were exactly.
I was made up when I saw the FordMotorsport on the spoke, but always felt it unnecessary to have all the other markings.
My Orion wore them, and they ended up on my xr4i. They were sold with the Sierra.
To answer your question. I don't know sorry.

They will fit an rs1600i but they are for a series one rs turbo. Ford made these wheels up to 1998.

Most certainly S1 wheels but I never realised that they went on manufacturing them for so long.

Cheers, John

Thanks for the info, guys. I finally need to clear out the last of my RSi bits, and I wanted to be sure I didn't mis-represent them!

Cheers,

Nick
