Default Brakes advice

Hi.
I am Udi from Israel.
I own a beautifull 1972 Ford taunus 2300 v6 GXL
(it's the german sister of the Cortina MK3 but not quite the same)

The front brakes, are the same used in the Cortina mk3,4,5.
For a car that weights about 1100~1200 KG they are CR@P !

Can I brakes from other ford models fit to my car? like sierra, granada and so...
I was hoping on putting double disks (of course i'll have to change the whole kit, including calipers etc.) but WITHOUT changing the wheel size of 13"

Thank's a lot
Udi

Hi Udi!

Welcome to the site

Have you considered brakes from a Fiesta XR2i? I only mention that becuase they run 13" wheels, I'm sure someone will be on with a better answer soon

In the meantime post up some pics of the taurus

Hi

Thank's for the answer.

I'm afraid that calipers & disks from Fiesta & Escort mk3+ won't fit.
they are totally different as well as all their connections to the car

In the mean time, here are some pics of my baby when i just bought it, before i started fixing it:

Looks cools mate!

I don't know if they fit under 13's but a lot of the Mk1 + 2 Escorts run Princess 4 pots and I've seen adverts in Classic ford for uprated disks for that conversion?

Hi.
There is a big problem with importing upgraded Brake Kits to israel.
Importing of Safety parts for cars needs approval (which is never given. no one wants to take the responsability)
That's why i'm looking for other ford models that will have better brakes and will fit.
of course i'd be glad to put a 4pots brakes kit but it's a BIG problem.
