Default Handbrake cable issues

Hello guys,

I feel really stupid knowning that everybody understands the sticky topic on brake upgrades, but i don't! But i am Dutch and maybe I miss some vital information due to my english.

I have seen a lot of topics claiming all you need a RS2000 cable. Some say Mk5 early, Mk5 late, MK6.

I emailed Burton Power which told me in their set up they use handbrake cable BC2290.My problem is that on all photo's i see of these handbrake cables, like these

I see a wrong ending on the cable for my caliper. I need endings like this:

Or do i have different calipers then all of you? Is this not a 2wd caliper?

Where do i make the mistake?

In a caliper like this i can't stick the small ending tube.

That seller will ship abroad if you message him, so if you get stuck it is a option for you.

Have you visited a local parts shop they might be able to help?

I just spotted it, so i will send him a message. Still i don't understand the difference do you?

I called my local shop but they only can order and won't take it back and cost about €50. Somi have no idea what i get.

But on internet i have prices from 30 to 40 incl shipping on dutch websites. But they show the wrong image, just like the information i got from burton power. I would love to not pay the double price if not needed.

Probably somebody knows what is going on?!

Ask at local supplier for cable made by First Line Parts

Product/part number FKB1340

Or see if they can cross refer that part number to another manufacturer.

Already asked them, but they can't!!

But i have seen that partnumber. If you search this number aswell somw photos that show up are the same as the "wrong" onces that i showed above and most have no photo. If i search in dutch the wrong image pops up a lot

This is why i got so confused!!

Thanks for your help

If somebody can confirm that the FKB1340 is equal to the one in the ebaylink of studabear that would be helpful.

Anybody that was able to finish his conversion with the other ends i showed? Maybe two different caliper types? Or everybody has the one of the ebay link?

This morning I phoned a supplier I use for a lot of parts, FBK1340 wouldn't cross refer, they couldn't supply one.

Ebay is looking like the best option.

it may just be a generic picture of a handbrake cable rather than a picture of the cable for that application

Thanks for the help,

Burton Power also send a reply back with photo of the cable and it does not match the photo on the website. So yea indeed its a generic picture, but it makes it difficult to be sure you order the right stuff

But i have found somethings already in the netherlands. Going to order somewhere tonight
