Hi guys bit of help please.
On with wife's fiesta it's 1.4 duratec which I believe is a badge zetec ? Anyway I'm doing the alternator belt and can't for the life of me see how to adjust the tension it all seems solid ie no alternator arm like on older engines like the CVH !

On an 02 it could be the mk6 shape. If so its a stretchy belt which from ford you get a fitting kit and instructions in with the belt. Hope this helps. If you PM me the reg i can check on Etis for you

A lot of things have them now, well since 2002 ish, so not exactly a new thing.
'Meant' to cut the belt off then fit a new one, you get a poxy little tool that clips to the bottom pulley that helps winds the belt on, and a little hook that keeps the belt on the alternator to stop it coming off the pulley as you wind it on.
Great fun.

Ive done a few belts like this on tranny vans. The first one I ever seen get done was a lad put the tool on the plastic pas pump pulley o a tranny and the pulley smashed lol.
