I have a 1.8 2002 mk1.5 focus (5dr) and when i get a new car thinking of turning it into a track car instead of selling it on.. Think its possible with a 5dr?

Probably bit heavier with weight of extra doors but other than that no reason why not!

Strip it all out and put some bucket seats and harness, and a roll cage then go have some fun

Yeah i would defiantly do all the basics, was just really thinking would it be able to cope with it.. Plus just got to get a new motor first..

Also is a roll cage a dead cert? Or can do without one for now? Money and all that could be tight??

You dont need one but it would help if the worse would happen. Yeah iy should be fine I would change all filters and oils first but other then that you can do as much or little to the car as you like

Oh yeah does the car have to be like taxed/ current mot or anything? Cause im thinking of sorn mine off the road and towing it to and from tracks? Or am i off the ball a bit lol

Ah yeah know what you mean but then again i got a locked elec gates, im only 21 so affording 2 insurances is bit of an ask lol ill have to chain it to a fence or sank 😂

Should be a fun car. You could cut the inner part of the door out to make the car lighter.
