Default Fuel Pump Loom

Right guys - got my new fuel pump wiring loom. Had a look at the car this evening and have a question.

The new loom has round spade connectors at pump end. I would have thought they would be bullet type, that would push onto the terminals of the pump. What is the best way to make connection?

However if you connect up directly, you be will bypassing the cutoff switch in boot, which probably is not the right thing to do.

What is the right way to do this?

Cheers

Is that loom not for a 044 pump? Connections are different to the standard pump you have.

I dont believe they do.
The loom you have is for an 044 pump by the sounds of it ? Where did you get it from ? Send it back ?

While fitting the loom I would take the opportunity to upgrade to a 044 pump and also fit a new fuel filter. That's what I did. Perfect fuel supply then.
