swirl pot
hello all!can anyone help-i got a swirl pot but with no fitting instructions on how to do it,it does'nt look hard but i basically need an idiots guild on how to fit it,any pictures of this would also be helpful
bloodyhell there must be someone who knows how to do it

i dont know matey.. but its possible just a direct replacement, go thru all the pictures on here and have a look.... what do they do?? LOL

quite simple to fit and also 2 ways you can do it.
1. the swirl pot goes in the top water hose,so hold it in postition and mark the hose with a pen where its gonna go,remove the hose,cut it,place the pot in there and reclip it.then remove the small pipe off the thermostat housing and on to the swirl pot.then get a small piece of hose to go on the stat housing and push a bolt into it and clamp.(if yoy have a header tank with 2 small outlets you do not have to block off the stat housing pipe,just run a length of hose from pot to tank)
2. is pretty much the same as above, but, instead of just cutting the top hose and just inserting it,turn the smaller off cut of hose so it points towards the rear of the engine bay,then insert the pot. now you'll need to source a piece of hose to go from the pot back around and then rejoin the top hose with a hose adaptor(these can be obtained from a motor factors or use silicon hose) then with the small return hose you can either fit as i said in option 1 or you can get a small T piece and join the thermostat pipe into the swirl pot return pipe.
Both the above ways will work,but the second option will move the pot away from the air filter(if using K&N OR PIPERX) and reduce the amount of heat around the filter.
