Default Looking to hire a car for daughters prom

Don't know if anyone can help but im looking to hire/borrow a car for the day (30th June Monday) to take her to the prom in. Whether its through an official hire company or me insuring and paying to use someones car I'm not too fussed. Really looking for something different though. Wanted an American drag car just to create a huge noise and scene but most aren't road legal which is a bit of an issue. The usual suspects (lambo, Ferrari etc) would be ok and that's kind of my fall back, but really fancy something interesting. A rally car with ALS would be bang on (no pun intended ). If anyone has any contacts or suggestions Id much appreciate it.
thanks

Steve

yeah, weve discussed it and she knows all her friends will be doing the usual, i.e limo or 'typical' hired car so shes asked us to think of something different and out of the norm. seemingly a piggy back isn't good enough

Bear in mind, if the dress is anything like something on gypsy weddings, it might not fit in the car! I used to work for Ferrari, racking my brains to think of any car hire companys...

Just re read your post again, where abouts are you? I have a mate with a pro street 68 camaro? It is a full on race car, so well caged up, don't know about a subtle entry / exit!?

Last june a friend asked me to take their lad in my impreza. Duly abliged and spent 14 hours cleaning and polishing it etc.. The car got a big crowd round it, and for a Ł4k impreza wasnt bad lol. In front of me was a ferrari f430 and that didnt seem to get as much attention lol.

Only thing is someone is coming to hopefully buy it this sat, so if it doesnt sell you can have it for Ł4395 and do your daughter proud!

I think you'll find that was a different 'muddy entrance' that people were talking about

They should do a poll, how many of them actually make it to prom as virgins

Be interesting to see how fucked up the country has become

it's your family and all that, but i wouldn't be shelling out on an american tradition here in the uk

on the flip side, at least you've not shelled out on a limo

no one got an rs500 they could whip out for the day then?

Yea and the virgins that do make it would probably lose it at the after party anyways

I had mine last year and went with my mate in a impreza. Most people hired the usual limos but one kid turned up in a mk1 escort! I was a little jealous!

I'll give it a shot. I took her to York drags strip last year and she was just taken back by the sheer noise and presence of the American cars so that's really the avenue Im going to pursue most I think. thanks

Will do. Ive got the camera lenses on hire for the day sorted so will hopefully get some pics she'll be proud of.

Forgot about BTR, I'll have a word and see if they can help, think I loosely know a lad that works there (or did). Camper sounds quite cool, you have any pics?

keep the ideas coming
