This is not a for sale ad if I wanted it to be I'll put it in the right section
Would like some peoples opinions on what they think my engines worth, I've had this a while for my saff project but after a lot thought I'm wondering wheather to sell it all up & just buy a running car to save the headache !
Thing is to do this I'd need to sell my engine & I really only want to do this for the right car.
It's a green top 200 block genuine 40k from new, standard unground crank with original Ford bearings, standard bores & pistons & the Head measures just shy of 139mm.
I've had it running & it's as it should, my plan was to rebuild it for bigger power.
So what I'm saying is what do you think it's worth, should I hold on to it or should I cash in & buy myself a running car?
Thanks

I see what you're saying I just think a complete engine in this condition would be worth more than £1400 even if it was bare.
I sold my 472hp motor bare and could only get 2.2k for it iirc, new 200 block, had bd14 cams, polished head, pocketed pistons, hp pump, big wing sump, wrc headgasket and had only done about 4k since build.
I would say £1500 at best for a 40k miles bare stock yb.

I would say it's worth more in parts - the block alone will bring good money as they are hard to find, as are untouched heads - it's worth more than £1500 thats for sure
I sold a 3k miles forged 600 hp rb26 and could only get £3300 for it !
that was simply all I could get, kinda wish I kept it now oh well.
op price up the block, head, crank separately may be worth splitting the motor.
