I use a devilbiss gti pro for finish coats and it gives an excellent finish, cost about Ł300 odd but well worth it.

Another vote for devilbiss gti pro, although I mainly use my devilbiss sri pro as it is also a very good gun for single panel repairs,

thanks all , bear with me on this lol , so does the gravity fed gun give a better finish than the suction cup type? or do you use one for primer and another for the finishing coat ?

Bought mine off a guy I work with, where he painted before he come our place he had to have his own guns...
Our work supply all tools so bought all 3 guns off him, primer, base, clear...
I only do bits and bobs, everything I've painted has been outside...
But the finish I'm getting is spot on... Can't wait til I move... Got a few bits to get out the way...

Devilbiss for me also, i have a few guns with various air caps and needle sizes, i would recommend you go for a 1.3-1.4 trans tech you will struggle with HVLP unless you have a compressor that ill keep up, plus youll get a much better finish from it for 2K or clear coating base....

also worth remembering you could spend top money on a gun but if you dont know how to use it you may aswell pay 50 from machine mart lol watch some videos on you tube theres loads of good stuff to learn on there...

good luck and enjoy
