egr blanking, any reason not too?

pros / cons?



mainly on a 57 plate 1.6tdci fiesta 90hp lump.

I think on that particular engine it will bring on the engine management light.

I've blanked the egr on my mk4 mondildo, it is mechanical so no electronic control. It pulls much better at lower RPM, downsides is that is definitely takes longer to warm up as there is an EGR cooler which also helps heat the coolant quicker when engine is cold.

don't think it can be done without getting the management light re mapped off.
