Default When were 3 door Cossies built??

Hi,
I have a 3 door Cosworth Sierra which was first registered in November 1986.
I was just wondering if anyone here knows the dates the first and last ones were actually produced? I heard they had a hard time selling them all and I've seen a couple of 1988 cars around

The reason why I'm asking this is the road tax on the car now is around €800 (and that's the reason why it hasn't moved out of the garage in 2 tears). When the car reaches 30 years from the date of first manufacture it plummets to €56

Cheers,

Dave

They look after you better than they do over here, we get nothing when a car reaches an age!

The production run was from 1985-86, although there are cars with later plates on, I believe these were registered later on?

Yeah, cant wait for the old girl to be 30

Whats the annual road tax in the UK for a 2 litre Cossie?

It would probably be best to approach a Ford dealer to determine the manufacture date??

I Had actually forgotten about the dreaded NCT. I need to get the finger out and give her a good check over. It's much easier to come in from the cold and have a beer.....

Pretty sure the very first actual pre production car was on a B plate and is shown on the homologation paperwork for the 3dr. Will see if I can find a pic

Production cars were started in mid 86 and finished at the end of Dec 86 so the Genk plant could be stripped down ready to start making Mk2 sierra's and saffs. They sold well but some were held back and made it to e platers and the odd one even later.
