Hi all,

I am buying some original wings for my 3 door and wanted to make sure that the original wings off a standard Mk1 Sierra are exactly the same as the Cosworth ones minus the holes for the indicator repeaters?


Can anyone confirm this?

Are they date stamped? I cant remember. I ought to look at mine as they are origional and stamped

 

im not sure ,but i wouldnt imagine they are stamped from new ,but were stamped once fitted to the shell when the cars were being built to authenticate the bulld date of the car

 

Thats what I mean. If date stamped then say it says 86. A 3 door cos was made in 86. Its not much good fitting wings of an A reg for example saying 83

 

finding a set with any date on them is hard enough mate without worrying about date stamps lo

 

if it helps i have a genuine rs turbo wing that i bought in 2009 and it had 2007 stamped on it so i presume they are stamped when made?

I've 4 Sapphire wings in the attic and none of them are stamped. Pretty sure none are stamped if they come as a spare.
