Default lowered mk1 focus question

does anyone have pics of a mk1 focus hatch which is lowered 60mm front - 40mm rear, thinking of lowering mine in the new year

They are very specific measurements you require there Sir,

Few of mine on -30mm Eibachs.

Still looks like it has its arse in the air.

ive seen a 60/40 shocks and springs for £150 hence why being specific

I see.

I reckon the back needs to go down more than the front as can be seen by my pics above.

When you do yours, make sure you re-set the design height for the drop (if you can *) otherwise you'll trash the rear suspension bushes in no time.


* as every bolt will be rusted solid

u mean tighten the bolts up once the weight of the car is on the ground?

More or less.

Losen all the rear arm bolts off x8 then tighten them when the weight is back on the wheels.

Taking it to extremes you should also reset the angle of the control blade bush (the one that is a common mot fail) as well.

i like the forward rake, I used to had a mk2 golf which had reverse rake which didn't look right till I lowered that

When I had my 1.6 5dr mk1 focus on 17s it was really low at 40mm and I was using spax springs the tread I was on was 205/40/17
