My brothers Mondeo TDCi has a leaking fuel pump (was spotted on mot) how hard are they to change?

Does it need timing? if so how do you do that? will it need programming?

Needs the engine locking with a locking pin set I'm sure. But they don't need programming. Think numbers may need to match. Only going by what I've read. Pretty sure it's a knightmare to do too. Hope that helps a little.
