Bit of a random one. I've had a brief discussion with Otto about minimum order requirements for producing a 1/18 scale model.
I've got a bit of a collection of rally cars in this size, especially slightly more leftfield ones, like a 306 and Megane Maxi, as I'm a big fan of these cars.
It would be nice to add an Escort to the collection to match, but Otto have said they'd want to do a run of at least 1000.
Is this something anyone else would be interested in? It would likely be a Maxi. I'd push for it in the silver "Response" livery from the '97 BRC, or perhaps the blue/white Ford Spain colours from the ERC. Currently on my phone and it's being retarded so can't post pictures. Here's a link to one, I'll add others tomorrow.

If I could get an idea of interest, perhaps it could be made to happen, so, names please!

Otto models aren't cheap unfortunately, as they're short production runs. Can be around £90 I believe, but I suppose that's cheap when people pay over £100 for second hand Escort Cosworth/WRC rally models by UT!

Hopefully I don't need that money, but if I could get a good few and go back to Otto saying that there seems to be some interest, then it would be a good help.
Would be a nice addition to any collection to go alongside other Ford rally cars

I would be interested in one, maybe more if there were more liveries.
OTTO models direct are under £50, so maybe se what they can offer.
However many different liveries they did I would have if that helps

I wonder if they've thought about a droop snoot Mk2 RS2000 in signal yellow? That would be a cool one! I remember when I had a real one many moons ago.
what other models would people want?
modelmotorvation are in the process of getting some models into production, these will be in limited numbers like otto.they will be sticking to road cars and not rally versions to begin with, retail price was going to be around £50-70 depending on manufacturing costs.
the mk2 rs2000 was def in the top 5 considered.

I would really love to see one of the Mondeo ST220 /ST TDCI in Performance Blue. That would definitely be one I'd buy and I bet it would become a real rarity too. I know it's not really a classic as such, but they're a great car, and I don't know of anyone that's done a Mondeo, about from that crappy Ford Sponsored plastic Mk4.
