Great cars,
bottom edge of doors rust, Heated seats stop working, dont be put off by corroded wheels (they will all be like it by now unless refurbished) only issue I've had is a wheel bearing and another thing to consider is that 06 reg and newer the road tax tax is over £400, whereas im paying £270 for an 04 reg,

Rear subframe bushes can go and thats a fair old job. Also check for misfire as quite costly for new leads and plugs

And listen for any weird starter noises, they get clogged up, and vacuum pipes are prone for splitting

Is that not the same as an ST170 as a sign the DMF is failing? They foul up the starter once its starting to fail causing starter problems?

I think most stuff has been listed above.

I've had one for the last year. I bought it off a mate with 112k on it. I've put 30k on it and apart from tyres and some front disks, all it's needed is a £20 ABS sensor.

Brilliant car, still on all it's original suspension. Does knock a bit now but I can't rate it highly enough really. Everything inside still works.

03 on cars are better equipped, so worth considering, though avoid the last ones due to the high tax mentioned above.

I imagine so mate. Dust from clutch etc cloggs it up. Mine done it not long after i got it, stripped starter and cleaned it nd havent had an issue since, that was nearly 3 years ago
