i lost loads of pics of my s1 pics being rebuilt
and not only that my computer crashed and losted 98 pics in total of the s1 but got some more some old ones and how its looking now

 

i still cant get pics up can some one post them on here for me i can email them thats about all i can do

there we go cocked up a couple but not to bad for the first atemped hope to have her on the road soon going to mot it with out the body kit on then it does'nt get damaged ect

its alright, im in the middle of restoring mine at the moment, i cheated though, i used a total mint m4 shell, cut off the front section and back panel, will be amazing when finished though, everything else is the same, alot of folk have done that, although they wont admit it, will post pics when have the facility to do so,

 

cant wait to see the pics of it m8 i need to get the wiring sorted out on the s1 as the lights are not working properly (not at all realy ) so need some one thats good at electics

i had a prob with my lights aswell, they worked on sidelights but not on head lights, ended up being the wires to the 2 fuses at the back of the fuse box, the 2 white ones,
ye cant wait till its finished, ive owned the car for 5 years, was gonna restore the shell but not really worth it, was rotten, much better to do what i done, struggled to get a non custom roof cloth, thats what will give it away though, documentsd will say custom but its not got a sunroof no more,

 

i'll have a look monday at them as fuse box had been moved to be resprayed
i got the insurnce quote (or my mum did ) full comp insurded for Ł5000 4000 a year for only Ł247

 

What have you done about the floor numbers? I am about to restore my S1 but wouldnt mind using a mark 4 shell.

 

i cut a bit section out and welded in a patch but i made it look as it was not just the number cut out, a mint m4 shell is def the way to go cause you will struggle to find a decent m3 one, basicly if you restore your s1 you will be replacing the same panels anyway so theres no difference,
replace the-- scuttle panel, outer wings, front panel, bonnet, back panel and the boot, there you go, m3 shell, rear quarters are the same, doors are the same,

if you wanted you could grind out your old number, get it wet blasted, tidy it up and weld it in your new shell,

 

What about the front crossmember? Are all the anti roll bar mounting points the same? Thanks for your help. Where are you in the country?

 

im in aberdeen, not sure if my mare changed that, will look next time im up though, think the whole front was chanbed though?

 

i no where theres a clean s1 for sale sore it today when deliving
but some one set the bin on fire where the car was park and it melted the rear arch and the light +the spoiles has been damaged but i think it was just the paint and there was a bit of rust by the front screen but offer then that its a good car

fooking wankres that set the bin want to be hung by there ballocks
