Cosworth Wheels on MK5 fiesta?
Hi there,
I am new to this forum, but I recently just got my first car, an 1.25 MK5 fiesta Black Edt. I managed to pick up some cossie wheels for cheap, but found the tyres are too chunky on them to fit on the car. They got bridgestone tyres on , 225 50 R16. I only tried to fit one of the rear wheels and found it was rubbing against the suspension. It also bulged out slightly of the arches, meaning spacers will just make them stick out.
Has anyone here fitted cossie wheels to a fiesta? I was told they would fit and have seen pics online(although they were commonly on a zetec s). Was wondering if stretch tyres would do it any justice, i.e. 195 by 45(or 40) R16. What do you think? Or will they still bulge out of the arches too much or rub against the suspension?
Any help will be much appreciated!

many people have fitted these over the years on mk5s, you will need skinny tyres 195/45/16 or 195/40/16, the rears fits perfect as the axle sits in on fiesta's however the front do stick out a tad due to the wrong offset for fwd fiestas, however mondeo 6.5j or 7j fit fine with 205/45/16 tyres

cheers 1-PD, will have to look at getting some new tyres then. I considered the mondeo wheels and possibly zetec s wheels, but I prefer that wide stance, and concave profile of cossie wheels
16" low profile tyres are not cheap which is the main drawback with this size of wheel so be warned, on the rear the escos wheels sit perfect but not a fan of the way the fronts stick out as being 8j wide and with et of 25 they stick outside the arch
