Default T34 with restrictor fitted

Evening chaps, bought a compressor housing for a T34 as i needed one with the cast in bracket for the actuator for a 4x4 manifold, thing is its got a restrictor fitted. Can i cut the first part off and use a standard t3 hose from air box to inlet or is there a better solution?

a better solution would be one without a restrictor fitted !

Chop it to make it like a normal t34' if it looks like a normal t34 it will behave like one.

Just thinking out load, if I'm using a standard air box then then cutting the restrictor and using the standard t3 pipe would that work ok?

yes it would be "ok" but not ideal as where the pipe would fit (im presuming on the thinner part) is the restricter as such. your best bet would be to get the part after the thin bit machined down and bored out to normal t34 size and use the t34 pipe tho the cost to do such you may be aswell buying a spares and repair turbo to pillage the housing, or contacting a turbo rebuild company and asking for a spare?
