Mines been doing it too. Took the relay out and has stopped for now till I go hunting for a fix. Weird how yours is still clicking though. Been told the Accumulator might not be hold pressure and making it click????????

ok,
bottom plug on pump seems to be attached to a cover type bit on bottom of pump, this had unclipped and was activating pump when wiggled etc,
managed to clip it back in and problem fixed, for time being any way,

although pump rubber mounted it does seem to have continuity to earth which seems right

You need to have a further look into this. If the pump stops working, your brake pedal will be rock hard, leaving you with virtually no brakes.

Below is a pic of what lies under the end cover of the pump. It seems that your pump may be earthing not through the connector (which goes directly to the battery) but via the pump body. Alternatively the live wire has melted and is making intermittent contact. Either way, this is not good. Repair it properly before you kill yourself or somebody else.
