Smile Escort RS Turbo S2 Auralis Blue

Hi guys.
I'm from the dutch, and I've got a crazy looking S2 that I want to share with all of you.

Some of you might know this car allready.
A few years back a guy named fomoco started working on this car, he has also a topic on passionford. From Belgium.
Then it was sold to the dutch, to a friend of mine.
He also sold the car to another friend of mine, so I Always keep eyes on the car. hahaha.

A few weeks ago, i've needed to do a MOT on his car (i'm a mechanic) and he asked me: Shall we change cars?
I was driving a FRS mk1, he had the escort turbo and also an fiesta sport 2001.

So here we are....

When the car came to the Netherlands, my mate and a couple of friends, stripped the car again mostly.
It now has all the good stuff on it.

Dashboard is flocked, GAZ coilovers, smoothed 90spec bumpers, GRS coolers, aquamist, powerflex, etc.etc.

Here a few pictures:

This was back in 2004 i believe:

When it came to holland, it looked like this:

Size: 83.5 KB

The guy that bought the car, a friend of mine, removed the engine, shocks and springs, gearbox, exhaust, etc.
And installed a better engine, fully loaded, stage2 gearbox, magnex,GAZ kit, powdercoated suspension parts,etc..

Then this guy sold the car, to another friend of mine and almost resprayed the hole car.
Changed the bumpers, the hood, and repaired the S1 skirts, because there where a few cracks in it.

He also flocked the dashboard...

After:

The white wheels are sold and she now stands on escort cosworth rims

And then she became mine

That looks mint mate, really like that.

I had an S2 with smoothed bumpers and and S1 kit. It looked great but was terrible for cracking.

The cossie wheels in the last pic set it off a treat.

Yes I know it's sounds crazy....but I can't help it.
It's a stunning car... i Always loved the RST's.
Before the Focus RS, i drove a few years sierra cosworth 4wd....a great car, but it needed much tlc. I didnt want to spend all that money on a cosworth.
So i sold it and i picked up an focus RS 2003.
I've only had it for a couple of months.

And back in the days i drove an escort rs turbo, converted to EFI. Also started a topic back then on PF. But that one i stripped and sold in parts.

This RST is good powered, here a complete list of the engine:

Mahle pistons 8,3:1
Cilinderhead flowed, bigger valves. Stage3
Pipercams double valve springs
Pipercams t2 camshaft kit
Pipercams cambelt
ARP bolts, (everywhere)
Pipercams camshaft poulie
Spesso 1.8mm headgasket
Hybride ball bearing Turbo with cosworth internals
Crankshaft balanced, along with the flywheel
Burton High pressure oil pump
Magnex 3"
Alu radiator Radtec
Turbocooler Radtec
Íntercooler GRS
Silicone hoses
Mocal oilcooler
Forge boostcontroller
Aquamist waterinjection
Bosch 044 fuel pump
Pipercross air filter
Gearbox from the gearboxmen stage2
Sachs racing clutch
Cosworth 4x4 brakes front and back
Braided brake lines
ECU rev limiter removed and boost limiter also

The wheels on the first 2 pictures are Original RST's...i've put them on because the car now stands a few monthsss.. That's why they are so crappy and bad tyres..

I really like this car what size tyres are you using on the escos wheels and did you need to do much arch work to use them?

hi fellows

The cossie wheels are sold now. They were to wide...and scrubbed the arches while cornering.
I didn't like that, so away they went. haha

Now i'm driving on original RST rims. With Federal RS-R 195/50 R15.
Next week we are going to the nurburgring with friends!

I've adjusted the boost, the bleedvalve wasn't working correctly, the "bleed" pipe was blocked, it now goes to 26 Psi, and hold pressure at 22 Psi.
Great Fun!!!
