There alright for small amounts, but not great for heavy loads, your find the 130 turbo would be the better option out the 2

150 turbo migs are alright, been using one for a long time now, but on full power and thick metal they are very slow due to duty cycles.

Decent 2nd hand stuff still aint cheap. Best of the cheaper used stuff is probably a Snap On turbo mig, rebranded Cebora mig, good welders, and a decent resale value when u want to shift it.

Just get a new Clarke 130, decent wee welder for the cash, and capable of most stuff. You can always pick up a mega cheap used stick/arc welder for heavy chassis or trailer stuff.

Then a complete waste of money buying a "cheap" one..

And you mention a trailer....will a cheap one even be up to the job ?

Buy the right unit first time. So what if it costs a little extra, it is something that will likely give you a lifetime of service.
So £££ per year, really is a miniscule amount

Ive had my current MIG for over 20 years, and other than some minor repairs, it's given superb service.

I tell everyone this - its worth asking at your local welding suppliers if they've any exchanged units or units that have been sent for repair and left once the cost has came back to fix.

I'm not one for scrounging but I found a 10yr old Lincoln Electric 180 at a reclamation yard inside, paid £30 for it, lumped it home to find a new component on the board had been installed incorrectly and a wire was trapped earthing the board causing it to constantly trip.

My dads garage had a break in years ago and their good welder was stolen, the insurance replaced it with a 170 Clarke. I hate all things Clarke but I simply cant fault that welder. When I was 16 I got a Clarke 135T as a present and it wasn't too bad either (but not as good as its older brother)
