Cams for my ITB's Engine
Can anyone help, im rebuilding a highish spec st170 engine for my Fiesta mk1. The engine builder has just informed me with news the inlet cam is a bit gaff so I need to get another one. Now im considering uprating the cams.
Can anyone please give me some suggestions? the engine will NOT be running VVT and will be mapped on MS.
I have looked of a few sites and most only offer a cam for the black top or silver top.
Any comments or advise would be most appreciated

From experience, fuck that! I got my piper 285's for free, and fitting them cost over Ł300 in machine work. The buckets come in varying sizes for the st170 engine, each bucket costs Ł16 trade price from ford, so 16xŁ16! Or. You run valve top shims, but again, still costs loads to do. I would buy another head in better condition. The power increase the cams gave me was fuck all. I wasn't running the vvt, had the inlet cam modified to take a standard vernier pulley too. I was running ITB's
No worries.
Performance Ford mag were going to do a write up on upgrading the cams, but the increase was so poor Piper decided not to have the write up or results published!
