Went to tax my car yesterday. Dug out the documents then realised I had an old MOT, or so it thought. Carried on digging through the folder then it dawned on me the first MOT cert i found expired in 2013..a month ago. first word i said to myself was FUCK.. no MOT and no tax, could have sworn the MOT ran till January !

Anyone else done the same?

When we bought our cmax in jan 2010 i swear the guy said he would service and mot it.

So the following jan when it needed tax i went to do it, only find the mot expired in the september before lol

Woops, the missus had been carting the kids around in it for months with no mot!

 

did it with the wifes motor too, went 11 months lol, got it done and then did it again a month later!

im seeimg a recurring similarity in this thread, we are all neglecting the other halves motors!

 

I got pulled over years ago in my series 2 rs, at the time i was 22 and had that and a vectra gsi, I had been cleaning the rs at my dads where I kept it and decided to give it a 5 min blast round as was a nice day.

Have you got any i.d on you so i said no which i dint was all on garage shelf my wallet etc.

stupid me gave him address i lived at not where cars registered to and told him my gsi insurance details not adrian flux for the rs.

he asked if i had tattos etc he honestly thought i was someone else he stopped me for no mot which I was unaware i realised what I had told him he then followed me half a mile to my dads and had a proper look around the car and was a nice copper
