No standard shaft will fit if he is converting it to mtx75.it will have to be half mondeo or focus 2.0 and half fiesta shaft

I would rather use custom made shafts over welded up ones.for that price it isnt worth the hassle of getting them welded up

Vey true. But at the same time you could mix and match driveshafts to do the same job as custom ones

You will need a mondeo or 2.0 focus half shaft on the o/s then custom ones from that to the hub and on the n/s aswell because there isnt any factory shafts with the correct spline and lengths that work.i mocked up one for the o/s ages ago and it was about 3inches shorter than standard and had to have mondeo spline on the inner so the inner cv joint fitted and fiesta outer spline for the outer cv joint and the n/s shaft was about 1 inch shorter than the o/s one with the same ends as the offside one

Yeh it is, eaisest way is to get a complete set of mondeo shafts and fiesta shafts and cut and shut it all together, how much power and engine spec are you using? I used a bc box running 350bhp in my old mk2 fiesta and the box was ok, but think I was lucky, my mk3 has a mtx in it and wasnt a straight foward fit but worth it for what I will be using the car for

That's what I was talking about Rob with cut and shut and sleeving the shafts. No doubt a weld is the weak point of the shaft but a weld is still strong plus with a sleeve it's up to the job. I used to run red tops in corsas this way and had no troubles after sleeving.
Not doubting your skills at all mate! Your a legend
