Default Zvh/zetec turbo help

Few months ago I broke a s2 witch had a forged zvh in striped engine down to check all was well and hadent been built very well for some reason the pistons had snapped all 4 of the oil spray jets off they hadent changed any of the bearing just changed the rods and pistons.
So I've now gone out and got another block and crank to start again as the rods and pistons are all fine do nows the time to go full zetec.
So what I'm wanting to know is will the pistons be ok for full zetec or will they be to low/ high comp and also what's the deal with them fouling the oil spray jets will I have to get them machined?
Thanks chase

Sounds too me like it has vauxhall pistons and they ain't modded them for the oil spray jets, they need tiny little bits of machining to fit right

So has it got vauxhall pistons?

If I was you I would bin/ sell it all and buy a st170 engine removed the head and buy a blacktop zetec head and fit this too the st170 bottom end with the st170 valve springs and a focus rs 1.8mm head gasket

This will be fine for 300bhp as proven by a few members on here and is now the best budget way for good power

Happens on every Zetec turbo engine with Accralites, always knocks the oil jets off. You have to machine the piston skirt for it to clear.

It's the same thing on the c20let pistons in mine, and a mates they needed the skirts machining to clear them

A engine builder could deck and re-cc your current set up if it wasn't quite right and pocket the pistons ect

Wayne at wpe did a similar thing for me before and was very cheap compaired too the price of new pistons

I made sure my vauxhall pistons cleared the oil jets when building my zvh, didnt have to machine the skirts everything cleared, ran it for over a year then lost oil pressure and found one of the jets had snapped off, how is this possible if everything cleared while turning over by hand?

I had to take a bit off mine aswell so they cleared the jets.i have accralite pistions aswell. First time I built it I didnt take any off the pistions because when turning over by hand it looked like they didnt hit.built it all up and run fine.removed the engine and striped down for a inspection and found all 4jets broken off and in the oil pickup strainer.so got new ones and checked clearence again and noticed that they hit just a little but not enough to notice first time.
