Default mondeo question advice

went to view a mondeo estate 07 1.8 petrol tonight was a nice car all seemed well soon as i set off on test drive there was a clunking noise all time when pressed brake the clunking got louder n brakes where hardly working the guy selling said car been parked for 3 week and just thinks a brake pad is sticking but for me it seemed more i know its hard to say it could be but any body got any thoughts on this i can get this car for around £1500 is the 1.8 petrol a decant engine

could be a number of things clunking tbh, the engines are ok if they have been well cared for, I've seen a few that like a good drink of oil and some with bad compression.

Could be brake pads low moving a bit in carrier ,worn bushes etc

Try and get a bit knocked of the price.I cant see it being anything serious.
