Default Motivating yourself working on a project

I've got a Fiesta project on the go atm, however I seem to be taking one step forward, two steps back I get one job sorted then upon moving onto the next I find a dodgy repair or bodge by the previous owner that means one job turns into several . I had to really stop myself from taking a sledgehammer to it today. How do you guys keep yourselves motivated on your projects???

Anybody can do it... It's not hard work really...
It's a great feeling once there done, but being a Ford there never completely done are they...

I had various falling outs with mine, just take a step back.

I can't be arsed with mine at the minute, needs a gearbox but I can't be bothered swapping the box even though the replacement is sliding around the boot of my daily car.

I've done plenty of projects and granted I have had many ups and downs but I always get them finished.

Like my old Subaru from this:

This car really seems to be fighting me and I'm only at the bodywork stage.....
I very nearly lost it today and had to walk away. I really can't be arsed going back to it, period

I know how you feel. I am soooo close to getting my Saph back on the road but each niggle keeps tempting me to chuck a gallon of fuel and a match at it!! Just need to keep at it and once it's done you can look at it with pride and enjoy it

I don't think it'd be so bad if I was nearing the end, I'm not even a 1/4 of the way into it yet

Got to start somewhere though, we have all been a 1/4 into it at some point lol. As folk have said, take a couple days away from it and go back with a fresh head, stick at it and it'll be worth it in the end
