Hi, I've put another thread up in technical saying what's happened to my mk3 mondeo st tdci and had no replies yet but basically can anybody give me any tips and advice on removing the gearbox housing to remove a broken driveshaft snap ring that's in there?
I can get the box out easy enough but I'm not sure if I need any special tools eg to just remove the housing to get this clip that will probably be in the bottom of the diff housing.
Why couldn't there be a removable diff housing like on some other cars, I could get this piece of metal out then without removing the box
I need the car to go to brands hatch at the weekend :wall :cry
