Hi chaps just rebuilt my escort rs turbo 1986 set all the timing up on timing light and all sounded and run sweet out on a jolly today running it in came to roundabout and it went to cut out gave it some revs and pored black smoke out the back limped it home switched it off and then wouldn't restart unplugged sensor on side of metering unit now starts but stinks of fuel any ideas ? Cheers

 

stuck second hand metering unit on this evening and now wont start and is flooding spark plugs with fuel on cranking metering flap bobs up and down tried disconnecting cold start no difference help please
