Default Road tax...

...at what point of the month do they start issuing the next months disc?? I'm away to stick 12 months tax on the ST, but don't want to lose nearly a whole months tax.

Cheers,
Grant

I think the reminders come around the 15th of the month. But you can tax with the relevant form at any time at the post office. Just beware of the date as you'll either lose part of the month or tax on the 1st to get your money's worth

Do it online when you get the reminder.
I think it says you can't do it before 14th of the month before it starts.

With the details you can do it online from anywhere, or get someone else to do it.

When I bought my new car they said you can tax a car 2 days before the end of the month for it to count as starting at the beginning of the next month.

If the car is taxed you can go in quite early and one that runs from the end of the old one. If it's not taxed it's something like 2 days IIRC

No such thing as road tax, it's vehicle excise duty
