It looked like it had been ruined when it was built and it hasn't improved with age. How to fuck your car up

Where to start? Dimma 205, loads of the stuff turned out by ecosse, yellow cossie kitted escy cabrio, jamie shaws tvr and 5gtt. Living in Peterborough we'd obviously see the projects about, the 323 was about a lot mostly.

Some of the stuff max power featured were hideous, some some of the stuff was awesome (like anything top secret, JUN auto, plenty of cosies made it in, that twin engine golf, etc) so it wasn't all bad IMO.

There was some good stuff, but also some proper hideous shit.

Anybody else remember Project Thunder that they gave away in a competition for the winner to then smash it to bits?

RS Kicker which was still about a couple of years back.

Mad Max which was up at X-Treme in Harlow but then vanished.

Project 2000, well it was pink! Was about somewhere in Essex last I heard.

Certainly didn't do anything for the stereotype boy racer type thoughts of most people about Max Power readers

I liked project 2000, was a pretty serious car with the mountune engine and full roll cage, even if it was pink.

Anyone remember an Rs turbo/xr3i that was custard colour and had red "splash" effect paint?

Also I remember being at a max power live in Birmingham nec and there was an "ice" white Rs turbo that had a full blown p.c with monitor built into the dash with a mouse and everything lol!

it was the owners estimates on power and performance times that made me laugh - a 1.2 clio with a K&N 57i would seem to do 0-60 in 6 seconds according to most of them

I went to Max Power live 4 times I think. Loved it back then. Although you do ook back and think WTF! lol One well known one local to me was a Honda civic from speed culture in Paignton. Hydaulics, Massive ICE install...you know the score. Was originally Red then got resprayed a metallic blue....and included a horrid wheel change! Chrome baby!
