Phil, off topic, but do you know exactly what Yodi had done to make the mk1 take cossie engine and box?

Basically you need a large gearbox tunnel or the T5 box, a lip on the bulkhead pressed flat and a lowered worldcup crossmember to mount the engine in. Also needs a custom sump to clear the crossmember

Not too much then. A tunel where from tho? A made one or one of a cossie? Im still fancying a mk1 after all this time, so i reckon i might have a look.

What box is a t5 off?

T5 is a standard 2WD Cossie gearbox

Large tunnel can be had from most RWD Escort places, speak to RACE in Stoke, their kit is good quality There is a lot more to it than that though!

ok thanks Phil. Didnt know that about the T5 box....i was a gay 4x4 man remember

Best place to look for mk1's apart frpm classic ford? Online? Few on ebay ive seen
