Ive got a mk6 fiesta 1.4 black and the engine has seized so im looking to put the 1.6 zetec s engine in there.

What I need to know is if the engine will fit straight on to the 1.4 gearbox and whether the gearbox can handle the power etc

Does anything else have to be changed? i.e driveshafts, brakes, suspension etc? I know the ecu has to be changed but Im not sure if the block will fit onto the gearbox..

I would think its a straight swap more or less, the gearbox will be fine too with the power increase too as it isn't that drastic.

 

As above ^^ it will be fine your only going from 75bhp to 90bhp.
