ford galaxy tdi gearbox compatability??????????

hi ppl i have a 96 tdi galaxy with a box thats about to drop its internals so am seeking replacement

what boxes are compatable? the engine only looks like a mk2 golf diesel engine to me

anyone clued up on these?

I think they are VW, the V6 Galaxies certainly are as they use the VR6 unit.
