Dvla number plates ???

Having a browse on there for a personal plate
Upon putting in a search in it only brings up half a dozen of the sequenced numbers I.e
A13 bam to say a18 bam or a50 bam , a60 a70
So is it a case of say numbers between 50-60 have sold or is it simply a case of they don't put every number in sequence on due to the sheer volume of numbers

As a rule, I think DVLA retained plate numbers 1 to 20 for their special sales, anything else was issued as a standard number. Over the years, I expect many of the 1-20 plates have already been sold so there will be less choice available. Once a car is scrapped, the number will not be issued again.
