ive been looking for a hybrid turbo for my s2 but to no avail. i seen the 360 degree bearing repair kit on ebay and was planning rebuilding my turbo with that. my turbo is fine just want more boost
if i mark the end nut and put it back on the same place at the correct torque will i still need to get it balanced?
my local engine/turbo shop said the t3 is to small for them to balance

I wouldn't risk it IMO and with just a 360 degree thrust bearing the turbo doesn't actually flow any more air, so that would be pointless.
CR Turbo's or TT will do you a Stage 2 or 3 depending on your target BHP, there is no cheap way around this, unless you maybe find a good second hand one of course.

actually thinking of it what kind of turbo shop says a t3 is too small for them to balance lol! they are bigger than the majority of turbos fitted to diesels these days which i would have thought would be the majority of the market for a turbo shop! lol
