Default Audi S6 clutch issue

Good evening!

I have a (rare) six-speed manual S6.

Now the clutch never slips and shifts are fine but the pedal-feel is sort of heavy and the clutch Has a very short biting-point if that makes sense?

You have to be quite smooth and precise with it to shift gears without the car 'jerking' when re-engaging drive and when taking off it engages quite 'hard'
If you don't you look like someone that's on his first driving-lesson...

Reckon this is normal for a high performance car like the Audi or...?

It doesn't bother me as I'm used to the car but tonight my missus drove it for the first time and she was terrible lol

Now she's a good driver and she drives loads of different cars without any problem but in the Audi she either over-revved it on take off or stalled it, when shifting the car jerked and she generally hated it (whilst I feared for my life)

Opinions? On the clutch, not the driving skills?

I've got a B6 S4 6 speed manual and the clutch feels like any other car, not at all heavy or grabby.

It did have a new clutch and dual mass flywheel around 5000 miles ago if that makes a difference...

How long you had the car? Has it always done it? Could be just the fact it's a Quattro some are jerky. I break tts and some of them are very jerky when your trying to give it some on the pedal lol

Yep, it has always done it.

Doesn't seem to be a worn clutch though, doesn't slip whatever abuse I give it and the pedal doesn't bite all the way at the top but around half way I'd say.

Missus reckons it's a crap car now lol

Lol I think personally it depends what clutch is in there maybe its an uprated one and that's why it's heavier. They do tend to be jerky 4x4 Cars on gear changes try and drive it slow and smooth not snatching at the gears maybe it'll be different, I think it's when you wallop through the gears. It doesn't sound like an issue to me, subarus are bad for jerky gear changes. If it feels like a kick in the back when you do change gear fast at speeds then to be honest that's a good thing you know it's biting hard

I've got a Toyota avensis at work with the same issue, really hard to push down and almost instant engagement when released, it not long had a full clutch, duel mass and slave a few months ago at another garage and the problem wasn't there before hand, I've checked everything on the car externally and everything is operational and in working order so the only thing I've brought it down to is a stiff pressure plate as it does bite instantly so its not a paddle? Depending how long you've owned the car and how long the problems bin there is check any history to see if its had a clutch fitted at any stage
