Default Project/investment

Hay all I am after a project to start as a investment for me and my son ok he is only 9 months but start him young lol he already loves motogp

I am after something with a rs badge to do a project with the intention of it being better than money in the bank as we all no how a rs does nothing but go up in value.

I am capable of doing almost anything mechanically to it, welding not a issue and have done the odd bit of spraying (very little tho) and am fully "tooled up" and have a nice empty garage (apart from the r6 beast )

I am looking at about £1k for a base car I just been out the ford scene for a wile so not sure on what costs what now. I had a graphite s2 rst back in the day so that would be pretty cool to go back there. But then I would love a s1 and I no for my pockets I will never get that. Would even think about a mk5 rs2k

Any advice welcome cheers

If you can find one really cheap I'd go for a rs1600i or rs1800, as there getting quite rare now, s2 is a good idea but will be just as hard to find a cheap one

How much does a s2 change hands for now? Not a minter something that needs the usual rust doing ect, will proberly do a full engine re build so smoke from rings don't matter

There was a really good black s2 from near Birmingham for sale and I see it in person even got on the floor to look underneath that would be a good start at£1600 but you be lucky to find a runner for under £1500

Get an RS1600i, PS there was never a graphite grey S2. Maybe it was an XR3i you owned in the past, with the RS bits fitted to it?
